Grounding Yoga Through Standing Poses - 8 Week Yoga Series
This January and February at Build Yoga we are kicking off the new year with the intention of GROUNDING. There are a lot of big changes happening, socially, politically, and even astrologically. We invite you to get both feet firmly rooted on the ground and get out of your head with our upcoming yoga series, "Grounding Yoga Through Standing Poses". This series will guide you in establishing a strong connection with the earth, fostering stability, balance, and presence so you can take in the goodness of the present moment and do the good work that needs doing in your life and in the world.
This series is all about grounding your energy, strengthening your body, and opening your heart. Through the regular practice of key standing poses and enlivening variations, you'll deepen your understanding of how to stay grounded and balanced and experience the mental, emotional, and energetic benefits that arise.
When: January 7th to February 27th

Tuesdays: 9:00-10:00 am (Moderate/Vigorous)

9:00 -10:00 AM Moderate/Vigorous Yoga Series Description:
For those wanting a more challenging practice, the standing poses deliver with longer holds and endless variations to play with. Learn how to refine the basics and prepare your body for more complex postures. Discover stability and balance in your body as you strengthen and open to a place of greater peace. Every class will end with breathing practices (pranayama), meditation, and complete relaxation.
5:30-6:30 PM Gentle Yoga Series Description:
For beginners and those wanting a more gentle practice. Standing poses lay the foundation, teaching us about posture, alignment, and balancing strength and flexibility. They help us develop balance, coordinate our breath with movement, develop mental focus and concentration, and they are empowering! After a good standing pose practice you feel grounded, warm, strong, and open. Every class will end with breathing practices (pranayama), meditation, and complete relaxation.
Wednesday Mini-Series Description:
Start 2025 with a 4-week yoga series in January. The pace of this class is appropriate as an on ramp to yoga or a great way to jump start your practice. This series will work with 11 key standing poses that we will revisit every week so that you can learn the basics and refine the details. Join Katherine Mallory, an inspired yoga practitioner and teacher, to strengthen your body, refresh your mind, and ease your heart as we begin the new year!

Sattva: The Yoga of Balanced Energy - 6 Week Yoga Series
This November and December at Build Yoga and Wellness, join us into the heart of balance and replenishment. Our upcoming yoga series, "Sattva: The Yoga of Balanced Energy" will support you to restore and replenish your energy stores, and cultivate a deep sense of calm amidst the busyness of life.
When: November 5th to December 19th, 6 week series (No classes Thanksgiving week)

9:00 -10:00 AM Moderate/Vigorous Yoga Series Description:
Experience a slow, deep practice to soften the blocks in your body impeding the free flow of energy. Discover the balance of energy output with energy input as you recharge by releasing stress and tension through mindful movement, conscious breathing, soft mental focus, and relaxation. This series invites you to replenish and nurture your inner resources as we move into holiday season.
5:30-6:30 PM Gentle Yoga Series Description:
Embark on a journey of gentle transformation as you strengthen your body, cultivate relaxation, and nurture self-awareness through yoga postures, breath practices, and meditation. Experience gently warming yoga practices designed to stretch and energize while also learning the basics of a safe and balanced yoga practice. Give yourself permission to slow down, soften, center, and replenish. Self-care is especially vital during the holiday season. Let's manage the stress of the season together.
Discover Your Strength Within - 6 Week Yoga Series
This fall at Build Yoga and Wellness we are going to lean into the practices of yoga to strengthen and steady ourselves by focusing on our relationship to the core.
The core is the center of our body that stabilizes all movement, and, it’s also the connection to our empowerment and self esteem, and, it is the very core of who we are, our essence. There is a lot more to your core then simply your stomach muscles!
When: September 17th to October 24th, 6 week series

9:00 -10:00 AM Moderate/Vigorous Yoga Series Description:
Awaken your core from the tip of your toes to the crown of your head! Engage in invigorating practices that enhance balance, stability, and emotional empowerment. Learn how to engage and strengthen the feet, inner legs, pelvic floor, hip flexors and diaphragm. These are the lesser know aspects of core engagement that help create balanced action.
Immerse yourself in a journey of core strength development that resonates physically, mentally and spiritually. Join us in turning up your inner light and heat this fall!
5:30-6:30 PM Gentle Yoga Series Description:
Delve into a journey of inner transformation, strengthening your body, cultivating relaxation, and nurturing self-awareness through gentle yoga, breath practices and meditation.
In this class we will find the balance of engagement and relaxation. Learn how to move more from your core to generate stability, strength, fluidity and balance. Join us in cultivating steady presence this fall!

Experience the tranquility of a regular evening yoga routine this summer. Generate greater strength and flexibility to ground yourself in your body. Yoga Class Description:
Accepting Yourself exactly as you are can be hard. We Iive in a self improvement culture that feeds off feelings of inadequacy. One of the foundational teachings of yoga is that your wholeness is intrinsic to who you are. In essence, you are not deficient.
There is an old saying, “If you want to get where you want to be, you have to start where you are.” There is nothing more powerful than seeing reality clearly and also nothing more elusive. It's hard to see ourselves clearly! The spiritual practice of yoga helps us to refine and clarify our perceptions. Even just getting a little bit clearer about where we actually are in space instead of where we think we are can be transformational.
This class will help you deepen self awareness of your physical body, greater emotional presence through both observing and directing the breath and help shift from unconscious patterns of thought and movement to more skillful action.

Yoga Class Description:
Taking care of yourself isn't selfish. We get a lot of mixed messages about that…
Yoga offers many different ways to care for yourself; physically, mentally and emotionally. In this 6 week series we will practice honoring the body, mind and heart through postures, pranayama and meditation. These mid-week yoga classes will help you to replenish and recharge just when your energy is flagging. Each week you can take home a short practice to help you keep your cup full. Spring Yoga Reset - 8 week outside yoga series

Yoga Class Cost: $144 for 8 week series
This series is a spring cleaning for the body and mind. Over the course of the long winter, waste and toxins can accumulate in the body making us feel sluggish, stiff and heavy. When you practice yoga, it can help you to feel lighter and shed toxins by increasing circulation through toning and mobilizing the body and through breath practices and postures that enliven our digestive fire and encourage elimination.
The fast pace of modern daily life can also leave our mind in a state of overload. Taking in more information and stimulation than our mind can process can leave us feeling mentally depleted and overwhelmed. Yoga practice gives us some much needed space to clear the mental cobwebs and mentally reset.
Each week this class will provide a different practice for clearing out the cobwebs of the body and mind. Every class will end with a delicious guided meditation and relaxation to help you unwind and deeply relax. We will focus on yoga practices in step with the spring that will help you to transition from Spring to Summer feeling refreshed, energized, healthy and light!

The gentle class is appropriate for those wanting a slow paced class offering support for limited movement and injuries.
The moderate /vigorous class is appropriate for those open to a moderately challenging practice. Accommodations and variations will be offered in both classes. Please feel free to reach out to see what might be right for you.

Watch online live streaming yoga classes! Please make your purchase and download a free Zoom app at zoom.us. If you are dropping in, you need to Register for classes you want to take by emailing me. I will send you the zoom link 10 minutes prior to class time. People who have signed up for a series will receive the zoom link in the welcome letter.
